IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error

Car  Octavia VRS
What a pain in the ass this is! Been at this job all morning. Anyone had it displayed before on the blue screen of death and what was the cause of it?

I've reseated the RAM and am currently in the middle of removing any additional software such as printer/scanner drivers. Going to check graphics card as well. The components have passed all the tests tho!

A few week back i had all sorts of problems with a PC. random reboots, blue screens on login etc... Searched high and low for answers but basically it could have been absolutely anything, conflicting drivers etc.. etc..

Memtest showed no errors with the RAM. However, i tried the RAM in a machine in a working environment and within 20 mins it rebooted. This machine had previously ran perfectly.

RAM causes so many weird problems, start by swapping that out mate.

cheers bigmouk.

It reboots fine, goes onto Windows XP screen then user login screen. When the user inputs their details it and clicks logon it then displays the blue screen of death. Before I've never seen the blue screen as far along as this (in my experience it is usually displayed before getting to the XP screen).

Longy, know what you are saying mate, a search on google says it could be overheating problems, but then again that's one of many possibilities!

System restore? Shocking stuff Kenny!

We're still on Windows 2000! Currently loving the old disk repair function for the old blue screens.

Btw do you take images of machines and what do you use?
