Is it acceptable for aux belt to squeal in cold fog?

Just got in car tonight, thick cold fog and aux belt was squealing if you tapped accelerator quickly. Is it acceptable or should I get the aux belt replaced?

Would that be expensive? I was just gonna grab a new belt. This ones been on around a year.

^^^This. IIRC mine started to squeak before the tensioner failed.

The belt's the strongest part of the aux kit. Most cambelt failures are caused by the tensioner failing on the aux belt lol.

mine still does it and the whole kit has been changed. its only like driving through a puddle.

plastic on rubber will make a noise if its got any water on it.

It only does it in fog, that's the main thing. Never in any other weather!

Fog=moisture, its an early sign to get the whole kit changed. Be safe with it and it will last you, risk it and it will empty your wallet
