Prob coz you drive a V6 mate? They dont care if you have a little 1.2 like mine!
My bro has a 1.2 dynamique and its the same for him..........no problems
And he has just been contacted to se if he wants to change.........sounds like a good deal hes getting too.
As for the labour rate its £40 + vat...................so I do everything I can to keep the cost down ie supply my own oil, brake pads etc

you get crappy dealers no matter normal car you drive, its the same old thing of more people will post about crap service than good service.
However it does seam to happen quiet a bit with a lot of different dealers, I guess thats down to the quality of the technicians they employ or it could just be the quality of the product they are dealing with.

I found that the first few times that you go to a Renault dealer, they are crap.
Then you whinge, whine and threaten and the service improves.
I now get a courtesy car and teh work done within a reasonsable time frame.
Ford are as bad though, when I had a Ford, their service was pretty crap, and I know it is the same and Vauxhall and Merc.
Its just main dealers unfortunately, they wll always do their best to screw you.
Best service Ive had was from SEAT dealer when I had Ibiza Cupra
Reno dealers in and around Northampton are mailto:cr@p">cr@p, dishonest and have no knowledge of the car - Ive lost count of the number of times Ive diagnosed a fault for them (because they couldnt) and its taken several vists before theyll accept my comments.

Most dealers act like they are doing you a favour by looking at your car. Coupled with the fact you dont own the most reliable or well made car and your looking a problems straight away. I think dealers arent inherently bad, but when you have to face unhappy customers day and out, it will stop you caring eventually.
you very seldom get any guid dealerships, prestige marques fook you over for cash and usually provide a better service, whereas the likes of arnold clark and such like just provide you with absolute bare minimum then sting you for sizeable amounts of cash.
im being told to expect to shell out £150 for the first service on my 172, better be guid for that amount!!!
