  clio 16v
my insurance was 2300 on my clio, ( for a 1.2? hmm ) and ive sold it now looking at insurance on a 1.4 golf and 1.4 lupo sport both coming up at 1080.. what the fook? honestly dont see why it would be cheaper :S been driving for about 8 months so it isnt a years ncb.

Any ideas?

That stupid ! I hated paying £2050 for my 182 @ 19.

when I was 17 my 106 cost £1475 and @ 18 my 1.4 16v clio was £1400 FC.

Now I'm 20 (nearly) ph1 172 is £1400 :rasp:


Are there a lot of clios nicked in your area ? :D

you have nearly led my life!

i am 20 but my 106 cost me £1480 at 17, then my VTR cost me 980 at 18 then my 172 cost me £1995 at 19, but now renewal has come, all mods declared, only paying £700

I'm guessing some of the reason would be you getting older (even if marginally), and that you've now held your lisence for some time rather than none (even without any no claims this makes a big difference)
