is it worth buying a 172

i am looking to buy a new car - i have owned a clio before (16v 93) and loved it - im looking for a mk2 172 - for anyone thats got one at the moment do you think its the best way i could spend £7.5k?

here, If I could get cheaper insurance I would. Even with the problems I have had (build quality mostly) And from what I have seen, I dont like the next gen Clio at all (although that may change, but I think the current line look much nicer)

this is like big brother in here - everyone knows where youve been! i have got 4 years ncb so my insurance is alright.

are they reliable enough these days because i know my 16v.. wasnt. do they hold their value?

Most people will say yes, probably cos they own one lol!

Ive got a valver and love it, but for me, I couldnt own another Renault, and the 172, in my opinion, isnt that much better than my valver.

Its all down to personal choice, and to be honest, I dont know what else you could get for that kinda money.

What are you looking for in a car?

Speed? Looks? Reliability? Is insurance an issue? i.e. grp20 cars a no no lol......

reliability is important though and thats why i wouldnt get another 16v.

to get a 2 year old, low mileage, alright looking fast car for £7k i think is alright
