Is it worth the trip??

After selling my last 172 back in November 2005, 2004 Reg, 53 Plate Import, with 11,000 miles for £7,800!!!

I now find myself eyeing up a Clio Sport again, this time a 182. Right, I'm pretty keen on getting one as the new 197's spec is so low in comparison to what you got on the older ones and the second hand values are too high.

I've decided on a 182 but in the Liquid Yellow - Problem: No very many are there! - The only one I can find is in Dundee and about 400 miles away with pretty highish mileage (54k).

Is it worth the trip up just to view....? Hopefully it would be good and I could buy it there and then and drive it home.

How often do these babies come up?

Any views welcome..

not often but i wouldn't travel 400 miles to look at one. could be a rotten apple if you get my drift.

have you seen photos of this yet? how much do you know about it? like the others have said, you dont want to that far and find it isnt what you thought or not in good condition. Sounds like it could look rather nice though.

If it was a promising low milage example then id rather travel than buy a dog closer to home.......The fact its on 54k though would make it a no for me.

Out of interest where are you in the country and how much are you looking to spend on one?

wouldn't go more than 30 miles for a Clio tbh. Unless I was a big time mk1 Williams fan etc. Mk2's can be found closer to home

I bought mine from 35 miles away, but it was brand new. I would not travel that far. I would say about 100 mile radius.

yeah. ask the owner for a few thousand photos first. but only go and look if your going to buy. i wouldnt be happy with a liquid unless it was a minter.
