Is my 172 looking as fast as it should be? (vid)

Really difficult to tell off a video imo unless it is ridiculously fast or very slow. Compared it to one I have mine and there doesn't seem that much difference although mine is only 40-80ish so a hard comparison.

Short shifting = Changing before the red line.

hmmm difficult to tell tbh, is it feeling slow i take it? give it a service?

are you using 97+ ron petrol, sometimes they dont like normal stuff.

it seems to be ok i think

13 seconds ish from 30ish to 100 is not what I would call slow. What is the book time from 0-100 16/17 seconds? On that basis its about right.

Does something feel wrong? Is there any flat spots?

If the above are non existent I wouldn't worry about it and just drive the car.

People on the net always say your car is slow. I uploaded a vid of my old Williams doing 20-100 in 11 seconds as it was on a hill once and people still said it was 'slow'.

I'm pretty sure mine is a fair bit quicker than that, and thats a 1.6.....

I think it looks slower than my 182 but im really struggling to tell 100% if im honest

Like I said if something doesn't feel wrong don't question it.

Attend a rolling road day if you want to be sure.

Theres a Renault Sport rolling road day next Saturday up in Warrington. £30 a car. :)

Seems to lose steam towards the top end of the rev range that's all, looks like nothing to worry about otherwise.

Looks ok. If the cars warm, change up at about 6.5k. If the cars cold, the rev limit will be lower than usual.

what happens at 45mph it sounds like u floor it again. is that your vvt kicking in?

mine is no way near as obvious as that!
