what happens at 45mph it sounds like u floor it again. is that your vvt kicking in?

mine is no way near as obvious as that!

it wont be the VVT chap, that kicks in at curca 1300 rpm, and switches off at 5800rpm, i think you mean when it effectivly 'comes on cam' , mine feels like that, pretty dead till 5k then takes off

looks about right for a std, though need to rev it a lil more me thinks

Shifting too early imo, Get another vid up froma standing start hitting the limiter in 1-2-3

Looks fine too me mate, seems similar to mine and the other vid. I might try shifting at 6500rpm instead of 7000rpm never tried it!!!

mini-valver

I'm not really feeling this whole peak power arguement. Rev it until a couple of hundred RPM before the limiter IMO, feels just as fast and you drop higher into the next gear.

Mine only revs to 7000ish rpm so that does for me lol, but i'm gona try shifting at the opposed peak power

the disadvantage i see to this though chap, is you change at peak power, which leaves you lower down in the revs for the next gear, i would think changing just over peak power would drop you at better revs for the following gear

though not much difference between the two id imagine lol

Yeah that's my thought's russ, I usually find shifting JUST before it hits the limiter is best for me

Like I've said before unless you take your time changing gears you will not drop out of the powerband when going up the cog-box.

most likely 5k kick, the vvt is around 1200rpm iirc just to sort out idle.

It seems fine judging by other vids i've seen but you are definately short shifting, you've got around 10mph more in every gear tbh. you went 2nd to 3rd at 55ish and 3rd to 4th at 80ish. This should be around 63 and 90 respectively.
