Is my aux belt caputt ?!

First post on here. Need some help as above suggests is my aux belt to close to the tenshioner and if so can anyone tell me why? starting to get abit worried now.

if the belts are older than5 years then have them replaced, have a look where the belt goes over a pulley where you can see the v's, if its cracked and perished then its time, from the top the belt doesn't look that bad... if its not loose or touching and making noises then its fine unless your tensioner is broken or has come loose. welcome to the forum by the way!!!

That belt looks to be nearly new. I have seen a number of low mileage 1*2s where the belts have gone very shiny from age! I shall check how mine is routed and come back to you on the next part, but the 182s may have a different routing to the 172s.

From an initial look the routing looks OK going by these pics and thread:

Going from the thread it seems that non genuine belts despite being called 'OE' are thicker however which could cause the above issue.

I can see the White Renault writing and the barcode on the belt so I'm guessing it's new. The previous owner has assured me that both belts were done at 58000 and its on 70000 now, not making any noises so i shall just keep an eye on it. Thanks a lot guys helped a bunch !
