Is my car a Mk2?

Sorry for the newbie post but im unsure as, you get the Mk1 clio with the boxy shape, then theres the 172 which is classed as Mk1 then the 172mk2 then 182 and 197

My cars an 04 182 with cup packs is it a Mk2 or Mk3? Newbie Q :clown:

A 182 is a Ph3, 172 is a Ph2. Silver belts and grey light interior plastics on the 182 plus a few other things i've forgotten.

the boxy shape one is a mk1 coming in ph1, 2 and 3.
the rounder shape is a mk2 coming in a ph1 and ph2
the new shape is a mk3 and there is only the 1 shape as of now

the sports are totally different
the 172 comes in tow shapes, ph1 and ph2
the 172 ph1 is the rounder headlights the same as the mk2 ph1
the 172 ph2 is the facelift headlights the same as the mk2 ph2
and the 182 the same as the 172 ph2 with an uprated exhaust system and other things (im not quite sure) giving it 182 bhp. it is not known as a ph3 just plainly as a 182.
and the 197 is obviously the mk3 sport version and is only known as a 197

There isnt a mk2 ph3.

A new phase has big differences. On your basis the 172 Cup/Trophy would all be different.

The Late Mk2 Clio Campus could be known as the Ph3 if you really want... it had different bumpers/bootlid.

as far as i'm concerned, there are only 2 phases of the Mk2
