Is the PH1 172 becoming rare and collectable??

That good from someone who has a ph 2 each to there own but for me if I had to buy another it would be the ph 1 they look better

Might start to go up in money in 10 years or so, but not yet. Tbh I had a similar comment in a car dealer in my 172 cup, and there are loads of them about. I think they get so used to dealing with new dull crap, like people trading in a 2 year old corsa for another corsa, that anything over 5 years old is a classic to them.

Butch is being very kind ;) haha

TBH I love the titaniums. Clarkeys probably has the edge as I could sniff the seat.

Hai!!! ;)

My daily. My hobby. I'd rather throw s**t loads of money at this then buy a new 13plate car any day of the week.

What ever it needs It will get.

This aimed at me?
I prefer the ph1, I'm just saying there's no way it will be a collectors car and worth good money.

I had a phase 1 for two years and it was a great car. I then had a 182 that I did a couple of bits to. I preferred the 182, the fact it was immaculate etc helped, IMO it's a better all round car.

This has been discussed a few times IMO.

They're never going to attract big money. People compare them to old RS Fords and the like, but the fan base just isn't the same. In the grand scheme, only a handful of people care about an old Clio, whereas roughly a thousand times more people would chew their arm off for an old RS Fiesta.

Having said that, you never know when the right buyer may come along.

Agree, the size of the Ford fan base definitely pushes up values although the Renault scene is ten fold bigger than it used to be with the popularity of the mk2 Sport Clio's and the Meggy 225
