Is there a better car out there than a 172?

Is there a better car out there than a mk2 172?
I mean for overall value, you get get a decent one for 3.5k, it's goes like stink and has loads of great extras as standard! It's pratical with a decent size boot, 4/5 adult seats, and won't drop too much in value, let me know what you think.

I personally can't think of anything else I'd want to spent 3.5k on.

apart from that your right it is a great all rounder which is why ive had 3

They are very good value for money. Servicing and repairs aren't cheap for a hatchback but they're generally reliable if looked after so yeah, they're good. Shame they're expensive to insure.

i think the servicing and repairs are cheap tbh maybe not when cam aux an dephaser is due lol

but apart from that i service mine pretty cheap, insurance has gone up from what is was i agree

Agreed, pretty much why I just got one. Very good spec, look good and quick when driven hard.

The good news is that there will be lots of 182's to choose from in the same price bracket in a few years

Months, not years. There's already some at that price. Guy sold his RB (not a shitty cup) for £3.5k and there's a black one in the FS section for under £4k..

Lots of better cars out there but not for 3k! I love mine but won't be keeping it forever, its just a fun stop gap while i got married and get saving again!

i chose a dci over a 172... both under 2k, but as i already have a pocket rocket i didn't need a 'warm hatch' that'd be expensive to tax run and insure
