Is there a difference in phase 2 172 top inlet & 182?

I bought a top inlet manifold for my 182 the other week , when I tried to fit it at the back of the manifold just left of where the coil pack bolts down there's a bolt hole on my 182 manifold ,

On the one I've bought it's not there , the only reason I'm swapping is its been painted and looks better (not over the hole)

im just wondering if the one I've bought is a 172 inlet? And will it be okay on the car without the bolt in ?

just to clarify its NOT where the inlet bolts to the lower manifold , it's at the top of the engine , there's two on my original 182 inlet one either side of where the coil pack bolts down !

Ph2 172 and 182 have slight differnces i believe.

Fair enough, is this because they don't seal on the rear ?
