Is this a Common Problem - Window Regulator Replacement

Can anyone advise if the little plastic clip that breaks and requires a complete replacement of the regulator (as Renault do not do the clip only) is a known problem.

Do Renault know about this?
Have Renault accepted this as a known fault?
Have renault done anything about this?
Has there been a modification to later models ? Mine is a 2000 1.4si

When I spoke to customer service today they said they knew nothing, not a known fault etc. Basically a waste of space.

its not a known fault, but is very common (go figure!!!)

no modified part, you have to buy a complete replacement (no replacement/moddified "bits" available)

£189 from renault IIRC (but j3ned or here supplys them NEW for £70 i believe)

Thanks, already getting part from badinvincible.

If its so common, has no-one taken this up with renault. A bloody rip-off for a plastic part as the regulator motor has nothing wrong with it.
