Hi and welcome. It really depends on how much value you place on your relationship with your dealer. I was in pretty much the same position, and I ended up getting the car from the dealer. It cost me more, but in return Ive had tons of jobs done on the car that shouldnt really have been done free under warranty (e.g. damage after trackdays!). In fact other than servicing theyve never charged me a penny for anything.

Go to other Renault dealers and get the best price you can. Then go back to the one you are going to have the warranty and servicing done by and get them to better / match it.

Then they will be more happy to help you with things that go wrong on the car in the future as you bought it from them.

Any Import is going to have downsides. Resale will be less, insurance will be less, goodwill in the future from your local dealer will be more hassle etc..

Thats what you pay the extra for....their pension, only joking. At least with a dealer you have someone to go back to. Plus the imports take ages to arrive, I have mate who waited 2 months over for a pug, yep saved him 2k, but is it worth the wait.....

  Not a Clio anymore.....

There is also the problem with imports having various spec differences to the british cars, generally they are cheaper but they aint so stocked in the toys dept. Dunno if that would appy to the 182 though.

go for dealer.

Grey import is only worth it if you save about a 1/3 off list in my experience.....

Youll need a 3rd party alarm system as well probably. Cars are so complicated nowadays, the last thing you want is somebody fecking up your electrics and invalidating your warranty....

2 months is nothing, I have waited much longer for my 182 from a dealer!

I have been told delivery will be end of April.Im going to try get more of though,Only called about a used cup but 13k isnt a bad deal.

col-b, whos your local dealer? Interested in trying to get more discount by going for a group buy? see other thread.......

13k off is reasonably good - did this include Metalic ?

I got 13350 for Met Paint, Cup Spoiler and Cup Suspension - Main UK dealer. A broker might of saved me another 200, but I wanted a car this week.
