Is this a rare spec to find on a 197?

Evening all,

Just having a gander on PH. Came across this:

Considering a change in the coming months. Depending on the bonus . Is this a rare spec to find?

It is very rare to have the sunroof, i have always wondered why there has been a problem shifting this car, the price seems OK.

ahh you see, i avoid this with my 182.

paying for the road tax is nothing unusual when getting a used car, just had to do it for mine and it was added to the final price, but the sunroof is very marmite. Although i saw some pics a french owner had on some forum in nimbus with the sunroof and it looked superb.

Problem I have with the sunroof is that after the Mk2 I'd be doubtful of buying another french car with a sunroof lol.

it does actually have quite a bit of spec, auto light and wipers, xenons, cornering lights, dimming mirrors, electric folding mirrors, plus the sunroof - thats a decent spec list, all that is missing really is recaros and tinted windows.

Understood. The Pana roof has grown on me. after going for lunch everyday for the last two weeks with a colleague in his E350.
I may have a gander when I go for a run in the morning!

They are good, my mate has one (BIG jts on here) but I don't think I could trust it. Its french and as a result will fall apart.

ive got one in the meggy. had no real issues i know 197 with one, and he too has had no problems

I didn't have any problems with the sunroof on mine during the 2 yrs. Mine was same age with 15k more and it sold for 9k last oct.

This doesn't have Xenons plus don't think recaros were on the option list till the R27 came out IIRC.

yep i think it does have the xenons, if you look at the two front shots closely they look very much like them in the centre bulb.

i think its a good spec too, it cant be compared to R27s like some others are, as the R27 came with high spec as standard.

It's got no headlight washers and has the height adjusment by the cruise control switch. Got cornering lights though.

not a bad spec ive not seen many with sunroofs ive seen one localy ive got climate an sunroof on my clio even on the mk3 its quite unusal to have both :approve: not had any problems with it not even a rattle ive heard they a nightmare if they go wrong though

Not sure if the mk3s are improved but after the problems and annoyences of the sunroof in my mk2 I will never own a renault with a sunroof again lol

Sunroofs are rarely ordered on a 197 when new, as most are bought by enthusiasts who appreciate it will add a fair chunk of weight.
