Is this Alpine Headunit any good

Hi, ordered this today as i fell in love with it on sat at max live. Can anyone tell me wether it is any good??? It looks the nutts and i have heard that Alpine u cant go wrong with.

I paid £228:95 for it. Is this a good price.

yeah mate, it is the mutts nuts mate! Very good indeed, cant fault it in the slightest. its what Im getting next, either that or the 9815!

no point really, not unless uve got 3 way componants (which I have got!) because the only significant differences between the two is the 3 way crossover filter jobby & I-Personalize, oh & an extra £100.

& I dont think many people here would make the use of I personalize

Ive got the 7893, an earlier mp3 h/u. Cant fault it in the slightlest, awesome head unit.

huh? Tom mate, The 9812 doesnt come with I-personalize? well sites like CAD & letsbuycaraudio state that the 9815 has i-personalise & the 9812 doesnt?

& if it does, then what are the differences....? And i would like to see a link that shows it having i personalise mate!

Where can i buy either of these head units from for a good price???

The 9815 is what i want to buy, because the screen is so much better than the 9812!!! Any suggestions?

Johnny mate, both screens are the same aint they? both use that dot matrix style now.

I think im getting the 9815, but how difficult are they to wire up??? Where is the connector to keep the steering wheel controls, apparently u have to take the top part out where the screen and clock bit is.

Also, how do u take the clio standard hu out? Is it on springs? (The standard HU ive got is the CD tuner list one)
