its for my brother, in my mind it seems a bit high but its a garage i know and trust plus its local.

Plan is to run it over winter then sort the suspension and brakes along with some breathing mods and track it

  BMW Z4 3.0i
Depends how good the warranty is, because that's the only thing setting it apart from something worth more like £5500 IMO.

Just think if he's willing to spend £6500 on that car, look at what less than £1000 extra would get him.

Know what I mean? After a bit of haggling I reckon £7200? Extra £700 that's what I'd be thinking. You can keep your 172 with poverty spec! Drive a gold bar with luxery interior and keep the cup handling and looks!

the same garage has a silver 182 with 60k for £5,500. He isnt after a luxery car as he has a tt 240 sport aswell.

I'm looking for a 172 at the mo, seems 1k overpriced. You can get cars with sim mileage for under 6k, check out autotrader/pistonheads.

  Iceberg 172
I was thinking more like £5500 too.

I just paid a fair bit less than £6500 for a 53-reg 172FF with less miles and warranty from an independent dealer.......

No there aren't, which is why I went to Leics for mine! (not a Renault dealer). Wakefield Renault (Harratts) has them now and again, but overpriced like all main dealers.

The other place to try in Leeds is Queens Service Station, Renault specialist in Hunslet - they usually have one or two.

I think i got an absolute bargain. 182, full cup bits, black, 47k FSH with new tyres and jsut had its service, £6600.
