Hi guys, looking for some reassurance. I've just done my timing belt and it seems that to two points it says to aline get close to each other, then it runs out of travel on the cam and returns back to loose again. The pin is definitely in the slot on the back of it. I've got the two points as close as possible and tensioned the belt there. So should it look like this?
Genuine Renault parts used. Since spinning the engine over a few times the arrows have shifted a little bit to probably about 5mm apart, and if I try and tension them again it runs out of travel like before. Hoping it's just a variation in the manufacturing as I've seen some of the Allen bits pointing horizontal instead of the usual 12oclock position.
