Remember reading a post once before I joined the forum about someone with a 1.2 getting new tyres and going on about the transition from understeer to oversteer.

the cup tyre is the one thats £100 on mytyres and is the w rated one

Ive just got a pair of V rated ones and they had a red and a green stripe?
yes, 172cup_nut you are wrong, the cup tyre is the V rated one, the only person that has the W rated tyre is TomClio182 as his was one of the first off the production line, mine being a couple of weeks behind.
It would seem that all cars from mine onwards have the V rated tyre so it could have been that the tyre wasnt ready when Tom got his so they put the higher rated ones on.

check the thread below, perhaps renault have put the wrong tyres on your cup??

I doubt the wrong ones have been put on, out of 99% people with the 182 cup and cup pack they all come with what I have the V rated ones, thbis is what I believe to be the 182 cup tyre and this is what Id replace mine with.
Who knows what renault have decided, maybe they are putting the same on both 182 versions now.
mine are the 182 cup tyres, this is what they say=

only one of the rear ones has a dot left and it is coloured RED.
having said that, the w rated ones are the more expensive out of the 2, i would have guessed the 182 cup version tyre would also be the most expensive out of the two.
who knows..
i definately know though that on all the recent 182s they are V rated.

That was a mistake on my part with the W rating. I must have been having a bad day.
