is this valver dodgy?

right, long story i will explain later but i went to see this valver for sale as im interested. It was perfect other than a couple of things, it is a phase two but has no sunroof, it should have one though right? it was no option i have been told, all phase two valvers have a sunroof so could this possibly a modded 1.2 for example?
Also the more scary part, when u go onto this link to start a hpi check it says the car is unknown......

other than this the only thing i could fault it for was a tiny bit of rust ( and i mean tiny ) on the one rear arch and the clutch was stiff as f**k which is common on valvers apparently?

well its deffo a valver ( if you look at the rear arches they are slightly flared) also didnt think valvers or williams came with sunroof, just an added extra for lower models etc. Looks ok!

it looks ok to me, def got valver front wings, cant really tell about the back cuz of the picture angle, but its got all the interior.

but the hpi check would worry me a little.

did the owner have the V5 for the car? That should have all the details about the car and the original model I would have thought, as well as confirmin the plate was OK etc.

tbh the rac check online isn't reliable at all, many number plate has come back unknown.

If your really interested get a proper hpi check on it (costs about £45 though) hpi are on - 01722 422422

the car looks alright, although weird its not got a sunroof & it should be electric.

Sunroof couldve been smoothed??? Sunroofs are one of the most common fuckup's!!!

Seem to remeber DazOrz off here/williamsclio having his naple one done not so long ago.

umm no i dont think they are, the whole outside of the car looks the same as any other clio...i didnt think valvers had "flared arches", i thought that was only williams clios?!

heres a 1.4 to prove it looks the same, only diff is its got bigger alloys and has been lowered.

and the black one has been modified hence why it looks like that.
Trust me, valvers have flasred arch's

all valvers definitely have flared arches, end of. dont forget valvers were around before williams and they share the same body shells, apart from the willy 1 not having sunroofs as standard. maybe it was an old willy shell at the renault factory that they used for a valver?!?!

well i still dont think it looks like a valver, if you take away the vent in the bonnet, it looks the same as any clio.

apart from the fact it has a valver bumper which will only fit with valver flared wings, look at the rear bump strip, the arch's defintaly buldge..

woops theres more pictures....didnt see them. yeah i'll give you that. also if you look at 3rd picture (the one from the front) then you can see it clearly. that side shot picture still looks very much like a normal clio tho! lol. optical illusion!

they could be a bit more white than the body...is it possible that maybe the car was in a crash, and has been chopped? could explain sunroof...

It has got the wider 16v arches front and rear, yes valvers do have sun roofs and so do williams, engine bonnet and interior are correct, not sure what to make of the Rent A Clown (RAC) check never done one.

All I can say is that it has all the right bits to be a valver.
