As the strut brace touches the engine cover (despite the strut brace mountings being raised with washers and the top engine cover bolts being left out) causing a rattle.
I actually think the engine cover looks a bit tacky. But what do others think?
The strut brace is probably cosmetic as well, the way my missus drives the car.

Engine cover is borderline pointless, as is the brace.

Put both on eBay, close the bonnet and go out for dinner instead.

I have both

You can cut very carefully the engine cover toward the back, then self tap a small metal bar to secure either end together, and it looks pretty good- well, for me anyway

This, strut brace won't do f**k-all anyway.

The engine cover hides the fact you only painted half the inlet manifold.

Currently it’s the engine cover sat in the garage.
Easy to change over though.
