As the strut brace touches the engine cover (despite the strut brace mountings being raised with washers and the top engine cover bolts being left out) causing a rattle.
I actually think the engine cover looks a bit tacky. But what do others think?
The strut brace is probably cosmetic as well, the way my missus drives the car.

I have both

You can cut very carefully the engine cover toward the back, then self tap a small metal bar to secure either end together, and it looks pretty good- well, for me anyway

Otherwise: STRUT

It wasn’t me....all done by a previous owner.

Currently it’s the engine cover sat in the garage.
Easy to change over though.
