sorry got bored after first sentence. You once told me on the phone that bodies will never work properly on an everyday road car due to lots of things including intake temp and the rad being right in front of them. You also said the car would not start properly and should only go for bodies with an airbox type idea which is strange as this is the way u do it so ur going to say that. As for the 'wont work everyday' side of things..... Boll*x. I have them and they work absolutely fine thankyou very much
car starts everyday whether its hot or cold. Goes like stink. Ok its got crap socks on at the mo but it works fine and makes good power!
Im guessing its just down to how much the company whos fitting them knows and their levels of knowledge!
Sorry to bore you, but I'm going to do it again.
I tell ALL people enquiring about bodies that they simply will not run with the level of sophistication that an OEM setup does. Maybe I'm not telling people what they want to hear, but I'm no marketer.
Do they work on a road car with all to compromises.......qui. Do they work 'properly'.....and properly being the original design intention and the requirements of a good road car...non. This is quite simply the defining factor. Do tyres work filled with water...yes, properly? no. Do DCOE's work on a road car........does a kettle that boils to 80 deg make a cup of tea? etc etc
The 'airbox' your referring to is a plenum.......so that you can keep aircon, the OEM ecu, your dash functions, significantly better cold and hot starting functions, better idle quality, cruise control and dont have to cut your bonnet up.....all with 90% of the gains of bodies. And by your account that should be the ideal solution as you get everything you want, especially since you dont mind about the small and minor loss of power over optimised ITB installs.
I dont even get what the big deal is or what your all argueing about, your all getting worked up over minor issues and are argueing between yourselves......because I'm certainly not getting arguementative.
And I dont think you need to get defensive Andy, nobody is criticising your plug'n'play kit. Its a good solution at a ridiculously cheap price and people should feel lucky that someone has bothered to assemble a kit that is so cheap.
