itg maxogen-197 review

Only a quick review guys.(197 R27) Went down to KTR today and had the ITG Maxogen fitted.

I was going to get a KTR exhaust for the car just for the sound really but not going to bother now, the ITG is very loud in my opinion and i love it, very addictive!!
Gives a loud sucking noise with a small tap of the go pedal, but when you really give it some it really does roar. Brings me back to my CRX and power flow exhaust days! LOL

Power= at the moment im not to sure if it has gained or lost any power i will see over time an maybe get it RR.
Anyway really pleased and would recommend.

Finally my emissions light has come on and off maybe three times in the last month then today after getting back from K-TEC it has stayed on. I phoned to ask if the ITG could cause this and they said no so hopefully Renault wont try and blame the ITG and charge me for a diagnostics check. Thoughts and opions welcome guys.

TBH i'd take the Maxogen off if you're putting it into reno as they might say its because of the filter as its not OEM...reno are a bit tossy like that..

yeah mayeb i will check with them first its only a diagnostics check on a brand new car, then if its the itg then i will pay

they might not even check it with the itg on, they wouldn,t check my 182 cos i had a viper on it!

Anypics/vids mate wouldent mind hearing it. Id do as above and stick the old back in as i know reno will try blame it on the ITG

my old man is sales manager at a dealership so might get him to have a word think he knows the boss there. all i need is a fault code at the end of the day.

Anyway any tech guys out there think of any reason the itg would set it off seeming as it has come on 3 times before the itg went on.

£300 + fitting!! you must have spent nearly £350 on an air filter that makes no difference? A £20 cone filter could have given you the same induction noise.

ITG panel filter would have been the best option for less than £50 all in.

Problem sorted guys k-tec forgot to plug an air inlet back in bringing up the fault.

Really pleased with the IK, and to be honest i wasnt expecting to notice any gains from just an IK i think if you say you can you'd be lying or the sound might give you that impresion, i was going to get an exhaust and remap but after having the IK i dont need an exhaust so kind of saved myself 450 quid.
