ITG MAXOGEN CARBON INDUCTION KIT chafe

  MKIII 138

does this chafe and create to much rubage on the 172cup/172/182 engine bits, i heard it rubs things near it and makes a mess as its a wee bit too large.

i really fancy one of these but dont want to mess the engine up.

whats the score then ??? i know the only better one (probably more expensive) is the BMC CDA does this suffer rubage ?

any good increase in pull ? obviously with other mods and a remap it would be better , but on its own is it any good ?

ohh and how does it sound as its a close unit isnt it ? does it add anything

It sounds nice. Mine seems to pull abit better up top, but I seem to have a few flat spots low down. Need a remap really.

no a better one is a GruppeM, but getting one to fit a cvlio is unlikely, the CDA is cheaper (even more so than the viper) and actually loses power on many 172/182s

if fitted properly, the Maxogen will not rub or chafe
