Anybody got an ITG Maxogen and noticed any significant improvements?

Chris has asked a question which i was going to ask actually, also sorry to hi-jack the thread but i was also wondering which people think is better the ITG maxogen or the JMS v6 road/race intake?

The V6 airbox mod was going long before JMS started marketing it!

The ITG is a nice unit, it looks great, it fits well and it sounds fantastic! The gains are minimal to none, but inline with what you'd expect.

It's alot of cash. But i liked mine and bought it cheaply.

I love my ITG. The noise is lovely and it looks the part too.

Only downside for me is that it rubs against my battery (due to the fact its huge), making a awful squeeking noise when the car idles. Trying to cure that as we speak.

Not sure if thats a comon thing or if i have a larger battery or something,

id definatly get one if you can

At the end of the day, it's an air filter, what is the most you could expect to gain from an air filter? 3bhp?
Hardly worth it in my opinion.

It's not just horsepower that improves but also torque, torque = faster acceleration, 3 bhp might not sound a lot but over a quater mile there be a noticable differance

After recently doing a test on my brothers old type-R, there was a noticable 7-8 bhp difference over an ITG maxogen

This is why I ask, obviously I know the ph1 airbox is good, with its twin air feeds and enclosed cylinder form, but as is known with most other maxogen applications, they do tend to increase torque quite well

I would for just the noise Chris.

Performance wise, they aint going to be much if any at all.

Typer R is always easier to get more BHP its seems,
