itg maxogen

ITG Maxogens in general are fantastic bits of kit, however they are expensive and on clio's your best off with just an ITG panel filter or if you after some induction roar a v6 airbox can be had quite cheap.

Had one, sold it. Made no difference to performance. Waste of money

In 2005 people used to openly masturbate about the maxogen. It was literally the best thing since sliced bread.

Mapped or just bolted on?

Expensive yeah but they hold their money plus seem to be a improvement in performance depending on your set up:

ph1 I did some engine work on was mapped last week. Due to coming with a crappy cone, it had a ph2 airbox fitted. made mediocre bhp and decent torque. A Maxogen (which I've always rated as far too expensive for the gains) went on and with minor map tweaks it made another 8bhp!!

ph2 airbox is a noise limitation exercise

Keep standard airbox and upgrade the panel filter and to add some induction roar just drill a few holes in the right hand lower part of airbox facing away from engine. Sounds lovely with no power loss and drill holes are free...!!:-)

Maxogen, decat, inlets and a remap are some of the best basic tweaks you can do to a standard 172 imo

Fantastic bit of kit.
