I am putting some music onto my laptop via itunes. But i don't have the laptop hooked up to the internet.

When i do eventually get it hooked up on Sunday will Itunes update my music so it puts all the names of the artisits and songs in? As i can't be arsed to spend the next hour putting music on it if i have to manually type them in due to not being onto the internet?

Surely there must be a process to sort this on itunes?

but i think when you rip them it has to be conencted to the web to do it? if you rip them while not connected and then conenct after you have added them i can' get it to find the names of the songs etc... :(

When you rename songs in itunes it updates the ID3 tags.

For example, i get a track named "track1". rename them to what i want.

When i transfer them (mates laptop, send through msn whatever) it still remains what i named it originally.

Am i on the right lines about what you wanna know lol

yeah but i am looking at putting on about 40 albums of stuff... so i don't want ot manually name them all. but the laptop i want ot put them on isn't connected to the web so it just calels then track 1, 2, 3 etc.

The query is to can i load them all up like this then connect and press a butoon to find out all the songs of the names?
