iTunes on Windows 7!?

Car  172//Crap Micra//Bus
Right today I thought i'd update my new iPod... "No Problem" I thought. However, after downloading iTunes, I tried to install it, which Windows 7 didn't much like! I tried "Run as Admin", and also Compat. Mode for XP and Vista which still didn't work. So now i'm stuck, I don't really fancy change my OS just yet as i'm still waiting for my discs to come back. Can anyone advise me of any other way?

I've seen mentioned on other forums to try running in compatibility mode.

If you know what that is then it seems to have worked for others.

hey there.

I've run itunes no probs on win7.

All i did was goto itunes download and run it dont save it.

it did take a good while to install but did install with no probs then just copied my old files into the itunes folder and hey presto all back as it was b4 on vista.

dont know if that helps.

a good couple of user account messages pop up if i remember but just allow them

Fixed :D

  1. Open a Command Prompt as Administrator
  2. Type reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions /va /f and press enter.
  3. That’s it, no further action is necessary
For anyone, who may be wondering ;)
