I've got a wet horn

NO. Not what you think lol could see the thread title attracting comedians

With all the bad weather over the weekend, lots of surface water lying about, I think some water has got into the horn as my car sounds like Noddy's!

I have had the Stebel Nautilus compact air horn on mine for about 2 months. I've heard they don't like water which is worrying me

Anything I can do to fix it?

Can't be that bad, I turned mine upside down to make some room behind the headlight and it was full of water. The horn was very quiet, but drained it and it's been fine since.

If you're is a bit more sensitive, remove it, put it in the airing cupboard and see if it drys out.

Mine is bolted in place of the old one, in the left arch mate.

Was thinking of taking the horn into the house (don't laugh) and see if I can dry it out either in the hotpress or waving a heatgun over it maybe?

Hence why I said remove it and put it in the airing cupboard. Surely you have these over there ;)

Lol we do indeed
Had to grab something out of the car there now, gave the horn a try and it already sounds a bit better so luck could strike me yet :)

I lay under the car and felt around the horn, fair enough there was water in the trumpet.
So before fighting with an arch liner (which hates me) I took the car for a run around the back roads where it "was" quiet until I held my hand on the airbag a few times ;)

I heard of someone on here who had this horn talking about "double skinning" their arch liner to protect the horn before - how the hell do you do that?
