Cruise control with speed limiter. Its OK, but I find the throttle response a little sharp when using the cruise. ie it speeds up a little quick. Good fun though....

nice one boys, cant wait, quite cool for a 12k car!

PLEEASE dont fall to bits! im already worryin about the exhaust etc, hope it aint wonky! feck! ;-)

Does it only work in 5th gear then?

I only thought you could have cruise control on a auto?

  MINI JCW

works in any gear but if you change gear it disengages it, i find it usefult but agree with lagerlout 1 as its a bit responsive

Love it.

I do lots of motorway miles and never thought id use it as much as i do.

Not really much use round town.

BTW enjoy it, and happy new year

I just enjoyed using it, took me ages to figure the difference between the green and orange light. I used the green option (ie cruise control) all the time, good fun...as it says 70 on the display, but your doing 72-73mph..bit tempremental, sometimes its spot on, sometimes it now...ive only had it 5 hrs...and 3 of them was driving on the A1 and M62..

Yeah I notice that whatever speed I set the digital readout to the speedo always seems to indicate slightly over!! Like If i set the digidash to 79 the speedo then settles OVER the 80 mark, a couple of mph out. Wonder which is right!

Noticed this to.

I always wonder which is correct.

What info does the cruise use to set the speed if not the speedo?

Right, im gonna add that to me list of probs too...

The speedo is electrically driven, as if you hold the mileage reset button upon turning the key on, the dials go throught a BITE (Built in test). To allows this the speedo must be electrically driven. A computer must tell it what to do, so why cant it tell the cruise control the correct speed...?

  Yaris Hybrid

Thats not a problem, the speedo is supposed to read over. The speed indicated by the cruise control is probably the more accurate but someone with a GPS speedo would have to post and verify that.

Wouldnt bother, youll get just as many probs, just more expensive to fix

  Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v

the speedo will naturally be out by a few mph, nothing to worry about, get a set of 17s and it virtually eliminates speedo error - atleast it did for me (verified with gps)

  MINI JCW

I put my brothers road angel in the car and the speed on that matched the speed set on the cruise control although the speedometer was showing a couple of miles an hour over

  Ziel Nurburgring

Every single clio with cruise over reads by 2-3mph. If you set it to 30, the speedo reads 32/3 and you cant do anything about it. Imagine how it must piss other drivers off though thinking your holding 40mph and your actually sat under the limit. Meganes (new shape) under read by a couple of mph, seems renault monkies cant get it right either way.

On a plus side, its brilliant on the Mway. Set it to 80mph and just sit back. the only downside is when there is a bit of traffic you may as well turn it off until it clears

  Clio 182

I also found that the digital speedo is more accurate (+- 2mph ish) than the analogue one when comparing it to either the road angel or street pilot

All the best for 2005 peeps
