Hey guys... Some might know me already though other websites throughout the years, it's come a long way!.. I will go from day one, all the way to now, only worthy of a progress thread now she's got a sporty lump planned =P (Rx7 goes on hold).
As bought
- 2005
- K4J
- 1,390cc
- 21,611 miles
This is how she was bought
Pretty standard and poo eh!.. So at the time I was a little 17yr old boy and went through the phases... So the first year I had the car subtle gay things..
Then I went to french car show, turned eighteen and began to look at more expensive bits... Like a good little college boy... So Mr postman brought me shiny things like coilovers, exhausts, etc etc..
Then me and my grandad had a bit of a family moment, he bought the number plate 'J7 RVP' for his Jag, knowing my favorite car is a Mazda Rx7 Fd3s (That comes in to play later in the story) so my parents bought me 'J18 RVP' so one day I will have matching plates with my cars... If you're all a bit confused why them letters, It's my first name, middle names and last name.
Shorty after I began the urge for a sport... Being 18, I was too young for a car with 'power' so I made one... one part at a time... Part time job whilst at college ftw!
Then things started getting sexy.. Briefly...
Things were perfect!.. Car was hitting 35,000 miles... Regularly serviced... But A trip to help a friend out with a broken down 206 at 3am to Manchester (from Cambridge) took its toll... 3 hour drive up, 2 hours down, no sleep, 48 hours awake... Water pump failed... Smoke, banging, clanging, then boom, engine dead.
Heart broken... Lost, skint, parents were away, no one to bail me out... Signed up to the AA to take me home for a large fee £££!.. Got home and yeah... Bored of dragging my feet so I pulled that lump of metal out...
Big grins! Finally clean working clio again!. Even if I run over my new bottle of polish!
Then there was a gap... I blew another Engine due to snapping the cambelt as I didn't do a cambelt when I swapped the engine over, LESSON LEARNED!
But less of the boring parts, (5th engine, 3rd front bumper, 2nd splitter, dear running into the side of my car, etc etc... Funny stories to be said later)
This is her now =)
Oh and my little tag... And more photo's to come... As I know you can't really get a taste for it.. but I need to wet and dry the front bumper as it's a bit orange peely then it will be nice and shiny like it use to be =) More info of my Rx7, engine swaps in the past, and details about the car to come... But some of the things off the top of my head to list as modifications
172 bumpers, coilovers, bucket seats, harnesses, stripped interior, solid top mounts, powerflow custom manifold back exhaust, hids, subtle hidden soundsystem, CDA BMC forced induction, k4m, brembo disks, green stuff pads, wide arches, 8j wheels, etc etc..
