Jacking a car up, what do i look for.?

  Shhh
Can anyone give me any tips, dont want to put the jack in the wrong section and the provided sissor jack isnt any good.

Where do i put me trolley jack...

Have a Clio & a Megane.

I think the clio is easy, as it has a rail from front to back, but the megane im unsure of.

Any ideas before i go out and cause damage..

Avoid jacking it up on the sills. (The rail as you put it) They are as soft as cheese and bend.

If you even asking questions like this your probably shouldn't be doing it lol!

But there wille be a point about 4 inches in from the front and back sills. It'll look different to the rest of the sill, maybe indicated with a little arrow or notch out of it.

Or get a trolley jack and do it propery on the chassis!

Clio use to use the rear axle thing, and on the sides the nice box section.

Megane, weird rear suspension, similar to the scenic cant find a point thats flat, smooth and easy.

All sorted, you were right. There was a jacking point like a square box.

Front brakes needed cleaning, squeel plate was coated in the stuff.
