Janspeed Suspension for 172 ?

  Impreza WRX
Re: JSR Suspension for 172

JSR - Janspeed Raid

Made by the same company which made Janspeed exhausts, but the suspension side of the company has split up from the rest, was looking at them yesterday aswell, dunno weather to save up another hundred or two tho mate

Ahh ok cheers, decent company heritage then.

Would the shocks work with Eibachs I wonder?

For £250 save abit longer and get the Ktec coilovers or Vmaxx coilovers tbh mate.

Have no need for coilovers though, don't want to lower the car any more than 30mm or so.

Would have settled for renault dampers and fitted the sportlines I have in storage. Ideally wanted Konis but don't want to spend £500 on shocks.

£250 and sell my sportlines is a drop in the ocean, don't want to 'save up' better things to spend money on.

I'll contact Janspeed Raid and see if they're interested in a reduced price to try them and review them and then offer a group buy.

Cheers, I'm aware of the vMax but am very interested in knowing more about the Janspeed jobbies, i.e. are they jobbies

Spoke to JSR just there, told him nobody has tried them so don't really know how to rate them. He was telling me they had experience of Koni and Vmax etc and he knows Vmax are good but thinks he can beat them (not sure if he meant price or ride!) they regard koni pretty highly too and with bigger budgets (upto £1000 inc springs and setup) have spec'd them themselves.

He's calling me back with prices and possible group buy prices.

Rory ill probably be interested, am running eibach pro springs on my 182 non cup and always wanted to change the shocks never got round to getting konis as they wasnt out for ages then i bought a house :-(

Not sure i would want to lose the eibach springs though would these shocks work with the eibach springs?

Also its important that it remains a nice ride so for £250 is that possible?

this is the question, I want a set cheap to test TBH and can let people know. Also would like to know if my sportlines will fit on them.

They haven't called me back yet but I will pursue it.

I don't know at the mo if they do them for cup'd 182's I will ask.

Cheers.

You could ask them if they will sell the shocks on their own, I got Sportlines too so wouldnt really want the springs ;)

  tiTTy & SV650
yeah, could do. I think they'd probably be able to but would state that their springs have been matched to the shocks yadda yadda. I can ask!

  tiTTy & SV650
yeah probably right, might check spring diameters to be sure to be sure.

If it's a progressive spring of similar diameter, length, number of turns and cross sectional diameter then it's the same.
