red bull sponsor! and lives in monte carlo, tax exile anyone?

the R8 is full carbon bodied, 250kg lighter than the stock car, and its got a 250bhp power increase

Surely if he is covering all those miles and the need for room he'd purchase something like BMW 330 diesel touring. If he want to spec it up a bit he could go for the M sport package. Seems a bit silly to me.

I think he's sponsored by Audi and he's very much a 'playboy' kind of person, a 330D just wouldn't cut the mustard.

Audi A6 Avant would offer more luxury then. Leather as standard, can have the Bang & Olfusen option, take the excellent performance and consumption of the 3L TDi with S tronic tranmission and sports differential would be an excellent mile muncher and also do the back road alpine roads for him.

I agree, from a sensible point of view that's exactly what you'd do! But he's an extreme freeskier, he needs to have that outrageous lifestyle to go with it to appease his sponsors. I'd say a lot of his job is remaining an aspiration to the young'uns, and the perfect car to do that in is a carbon fibre'd, loud and shouty R8!

Plus it's just what he wants to do, and when can't argue with that, can we?
