Jus picked up my 197 could someone explain how it locks and opens? lol

On my megane with the handsfree, all you do is get out the car and walk away. It then beeps twice and its locks. If youthen go up to it and pull the door handle it unlocks.
Its such a nice system.

Got used to it today makes sense now. Bootlid button is good for when you put it in the garage you dont have to get card out pocket, you can just press the button before closing the garage door.
It jus about fits in my garage btw i had to line it up and stand behind to check! Have to fold wing mirrors in though and then the big rear arches are a hell of a tight squeeze. Bugger to get out of car once its in too!
Thought for a while it wouldn fit would of been a nightnmare as i've just paid a fortune for the garage off the council after they decided i couldn rent it anymore!

The 197 won't lock itself as you walk away!

The 200 will (with handsfree card) - makes a chime noise when your about 6-8ft away. pretty cool.

Annoys the fcuk outta me when im cleaning the car and I want it open incase I want to get in, and ive left my wallet with my keycard in the house.

Mate, you should never need to get your keycard out of your pocket. Since ive had my 197 (14 months) I think ive actually used my keycard about 5 times. It was put in my wallet the day I collected it and thats were its stayed!

The only time Ive used my keycard is when ive parked up, walked off and thought "did I lock it". I couldnt be assed walking back, so I pressed the buttons on the card from a good 20 or 30 ft away.

It will lock itself after 30 seconds due to having a Cat1 alarm, but the 200 locks as soon as you walk away.
