just had my first experience of reno dealers, I was there at 9 am, at 9.20 the mechanic took a test drive, flat as a fart in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear around 3000rpm, only when the needle was on 7ooorpm, did he seem to think the car was fine, absolutely no torque whatsoever, he tried to say that the power band is all at the top end of the range,, WRONG!!, my beast had instant response from 25000rpm.. they re programmed the injection sequence or something, while waiting I tested the managers 172 as a comparison, brand new, flat as a fart, so his has been duff from day 1 so he dosnt realise, its booked in for a full day of testing next week, as the computer didn;t come up with any faults. suprise surprise!!! the chap was pleasant enough, service was brisk, but I believe that if the diagnostic says its fine then these guys are stumped. Lets wait till next week, on the drive away though the car felt a bit better so theyve maybe half cured the problem!! Dealer was reg vardy at doncaster!!! apparently one of the better reg vardy;s
