Just been on Paul's 'ego-buster' RR in the Bullet

Had a run down to RS Tuning with a few lads from Meganesport.

I whacked the bullet on and it came back with 174.9 bhp. The last run I did with Paul on his old RR of choice showed 177.5 bhp. The most pleasing point for me is the torque figure which is now just short of 160 lb/ft.

Before and after graphs below. 1st graph is my original RS Tuning map, exhaust and Pipercross panel filter. 2nd graph is with inlets, Janspeed sports cat' and phase 1 airbox with Pipercross panel.

Having driven the car back to back with Ad' from Shiny Autos 197, i'd say the 172 would definately have the legs on the 197 and the other guys who drove both cars agreed.

The Megane boys were really struggling. One guy had a boost leak and only ran 241. Donny_Dog has a knackered coil/injector so only ran 213 after a map' .

Jonnyboy had the best run in his new F1. He came back with 265 with just the map and a Forge blanking plate fitted. None of this BOV tat required.

i think i got 176.4 bhp on Pauls ego buster with inlets, ITG panel, RStuning remap, i got 160 ld of torque too!

Ive not been on for a bit , but since added a full BTB zorst , and i have a gdi decat to go on as well.

Good run all in all on THE BUSTER Lol

Put mine on after the picasso (lol was a 90hp and made 90.8!) and made 257 with a trial map but with perfect fueling ( the trial was the fueling)

Once the new fan is hooked up i think the turbo cars will run more consistent. Shame about the other meganes tho :S

As i said ben, there is more to come from your car without a doubt.

257 is a cracking figure. It sounds like the E4's are a nightmare but BOV's etc don't seem to help the cause.

Did Ad run the 197?

I think it was just the temperature of the first couple tbh, donny dog's deffo has a coil/injector problem so that explains that one.

As for jon's 265, wtf! I only quote 30hp on that map but i think i made some extra changes in his, Andy will test his tonight

I'd also be disappointed with your results!! RR seems to be runnin way low...

Jon's is 'special'. Straight up, she's running 265. Paul's tweaked the map a little. - so i believe....

Who'd be dissapointed? Me or Len? Len aint arsed, whats 3bhp between lovers. Me on the other hand, I'm relieved, that I found out i had an issue and that it can be resolved. its not like the local reno garage would RR my machine. onwards and upwards.

If we're getting down to 10 or so Hp, then it'll hardly be noticable any road. Len don't care, with headwork, his would probably be up there too. His map is one of the early prototypes, IIRC, so sure there is more to come.

I know the history of len's car... And i hear what your sayin about noticin gains. 20bhp is barely noticeable...

Suppose on the road is where it counds and the overall drivability. Nice to have it supported on paper tho isn't it?
