will do tomoro when the weather is a bit more pleasant.

and no to the other comment i ended up buying a small brush from hobbycraft next door to halfords where i got the clio black aerosol. was a bit of a pain but well worth it. (i think)

I have been told, but not tried yet, wet rub down with 3000grit wet and dry, and then then lots of polishing, will sort out the orange peel look and give a nice smooth finish

Think i used 240grit to initially, then used Plastic Filler Primer from halfords, then 1200grit wet, then paint, then 1200grit wet, then lacquer, just need to get the 3000grit now.

thanks for comments, heres a list of what i used:

240 grit

640 grit

1400 grit

yellow primer

j37 paint

halfords laquer.

halford renault black

fine paintbrush.

I had already baught my side badges off ebay sprayed silver and was told they had been professionaly sandblasted except when i got the majority of the kack off i found that they hadnt. so with most of the silver kack off i moved on to a higher grit W&D to get them a bit smoother.

I then primered in yellow which i bought from Autopint recommended to me by middo. Cost me a little over 12 quid for 2 FULL cans (one of primer, one of j37). gave the badges 2 coats, sanded down with highest grit (1400) then another coat of primer and one more rub down ready for the J37.

3 coats of J37. left to dry.

then used renault black from halfords (sprayed in lid) and very fine brush to apply paint to lettering.

2 coats of black on the lettering

left to dry

2 coats of laquer before it started to rain.

waiting to put last coat on and leave to dry for however long it takes.

hope this helps.
