Just fitted standard Williams exhaust

Ive just taken off the stainless back box that came on my Williams when I bought it - and replaced it with a totally standard one.

To be totally honest, there seems to be no drop in performance whatsoever and the noise is about the same as when the stainless back box was on (still quite noisy).

Compared to my old Valver (which had a full system, de-cat and IK for breathing), there no roaring, but its pretty meaty for a standard system with an airbox and no de-cat.

My Willy is now mechanically as it would have been from the dealer.

So, dont bother getting a stainless back box unless you really want to get a full system. Just not worth it! The standard back box even looks nice with a fat tailpipe :D

Well done Ben, where did you get it from in the end? did you actually fit it yourself? bet that was hard work is so

was it sill the boge one?

I had real trouble finding the original Renault one, so had to get an Arvin replacement one (£60 - not as good as Henry got, but still cheaper than most). Lining the two back boxes up, theres no difference in bore between the stainless one and the original one, although I dont know what the baffles are like inside either. I certainly cant feel any power difference, but like I say, I didnt have a full system and theres an original centre section on the car too.

I was thinking of sticking a silenced de-cat on the car as catalysts are expensive when they go, but Ive heard from 2live that they cause extra wear on the exhaust.

What do you reckon I should do? Cheers :D

but fitted a standard one to my valver , no performance difference what so ever! and sound is just a good to be honest

Riplash has found me an original head unit, so fingers crossed the car should be totally standard in a week or two.

mines still got the standard head unit n speakers in too

like i said b4 only difrences/mods from standard are the de-cat, s/s zorst, bent to the exact shape n using same bore as oe, and avo coilovers, oh and the k&n panel filter instead of the sh*tty paper 1 lol

even the tyres......michelin pilot hxs.......now gettin very low hehe are the same as what the car left the showroom in . the back 2 arent too bad for wear yet but the fronts def need replacin

well like i said iv had it on 185/55/15 pilot hxs an they got a bit bald so i stuck a pair of pirrelli 195/50/15 p zeros on the willy 2 aloys on

what a difference

car tram lined loads more, seemed to be very hesitant with grip/lose grip, had no confidence with them at all

i was goin to get michelin exaltos fitted in a 195/50 but the clutch blew up the day before the were due to go on
