Just got a new laptop

Just thought I'd share I got a new laptop. Really happy with it compared to my previous crappy thing from HP.

Got it for £850 too.

I did want a MacBook Pro but just couldn't justify the price compared with the specs of this one. Very happy with it so far.

Vaios are ok as long as you instantly reinstall Windows and then only install the essential drivers. The only way to properly remove the 80GB of bloatware.

As windows will not be as efficient as OSX hen you shoulda gin for the Mac! Still a nice looking machine though

Awesome spec, packing that graphics card in my own laptop. Mr pants if they even make an Apple at that spec it would be silly money!

It was £850 on the site, I went to the store after work and it was £899 but I said I'd seen it on the site for £850 so they honoured it. No backlit keyboard on the UK F series unfortunately. The screen is incredible! 1080P LED and it looks great. £1150 was the cheapest other site I could find!

Just couldn't justify paying the extra amount. You're talking nearly double the price for the nearest equivalent MacBook Pro. I love Apple I really do but just can't justify that price over what I've got.

Plus the Blu-ray and HDMI are really useful for me, I needed a laptop now and know the MacBook pro is towards the end of the cycle so I couldn't wait.

Spec spec spec. Many people get carried away with it. Generally, laptops don't need spec. They spend 99% of their life surfing Cliosport. Plus you need an i7 just to load Windows

Joking aside. Vaios are normally very very good machines. Normally not very good value for money at all TBH but this deal seems sweet. I stand by my bloatware comments though.

Battery life is pretty poor but it's a desktop replacement really. I got 2 and a half hours watching some HD stuff and general browsing etc...

Feels really well made, very solid. Miles ahead of my previous HP laptop.

Don't get me wrong I'm not one to get hung up on spec and if a MacBook Pro was the same price there would have been no contest.

Re bloatware, already on it lol! Although there isn't as much loaded on as there was with HP.

I hate bloatware, its on all laptops nowadays, even hitting the phone market, why can't manufactures leave windows well alone !
