Just had a new clutch fitted £200 good price?

My clutch was slipping like crazy so had to get it replaced got quoted £200 by my local garage and was wondering if that was a good price? driving it now feel weird already stalled it twice

id say thats a good price, even on a 1.2 its still a fairly lengthy job.

But yeh a clutch change is no specialist job, i managed it on my 182 in a weekend off and im no mechanic.

Clutch at Trade price is about 50 Quid - £150 labour isnt bad , equipped garage will have it done in 4-5 hours

even on a 1*2 its hardly a job for a specialist

What's the point in asking after having a part fitted? Surely you ask before getting the work done? No??

Most good garages will charge from about £140-£180 to take the gearbox off and on then it's just the price of the clutch

I'd have said a bit over £300 if a Decent clutch was used. For that price I'd be a bit worried they've used a transmech which are poop
