Just killed my 182:(

lost control of the 182 tday on what apperaed to be spilt oil on road and lost control at about 60 and managed to miss crash barrier but swereved over the other side and up a banking and up rooted a bush and ended up coming to rest in a layby. wierd thing is that there was a police car about 800 yards behind and he saw the whole thing and also slipped on it. luckily though im ok just shock up. police man was very helpful and got me out of car.

just gutted that i think ive killed her

unlucky. good job u didnt hit an oncoming car at 60 or it wouldnt just be the car that was dead.
what damage is done to the car then? im imagining that the front end is taken out?

front bumper is gone plus one wheel and also the wing mirror plus scratched but im sure the suspension is fcuked. and before anybody thinks that i was driving dangerously i was dual carrage way with limit of 70 (a470 south wales). also poiceman stated that i wasnt driving dangerously and if i hadnt been in front of him it would have probably been him that spun. i mananged to do 360 in road shot off to the side then up the banking and landed facing the right way in a layby.

Absolutely gutting but car's can be replaced, people can't be.

Just hold on to the fact that you walked away, it might make losing the car a bit more easier to take

i havnt got any pics as i was to busy making sure all my body parts where in thre right place. my uncle owns a car body shop so its in there now getting a check over. just got news that bumper has just been wripped of the catches and a looks as if suspension is ok other that one shock blown so not as bad as i thought.
so fingers crossed its just paint and a new wheel plus splitter i was lucky grass was so wet looks like ive just skimmed over the top.
steve where do you live it spun just down from the new shopping complex with all the new jjb and kfc?

ill have a word steve to be honest though i go to him because he is family but other wise he is quite expensive as he is just on his own. im 22 though mate im always down in cardiff though my 182 is artic blue 04 plate with cup packs but i know that doesnt really narow things down alot

fair play to policeman he took my details so he could write a report so it would help insurance but if i can help it i dont want to lose my no claim as i have a 600 quid excess so prob wont be worth doing as i can get it sorted on the cheap i hope. oh well i had saved to get car sorted form summer i had exhaust coilovers and maybe even repmapped planned but ill just seee how this turns out

i might do as policeman said that it was a total accident and my driving was not to blame. got to say though usually police around here see a young lad in fast car and throw the book but this guy was ace he even let me use his mobile to phone my dad. and as soon as my dad and uncle arrived told them that it wasnt my fault and to go easy on me. he was a bit hook up to though i would fancy sliding a v70 estate full of crap eiether.

its still in my uncles garage. good news is that he had a guy in about a month ago who scrapped his alloys so needed new ones and sold then to my uncle as there are so many 182's around here he knew they would come in handy so ive got wheel sorted for know its scratched to fcuk and back but its more circular than mine is lol. bumper can be repaired and he is hoping to get it sorted overnight as he owes me a few favours. so its just respray at the moment they are getting car on the jig as we speak to check to see if i have bent anything so fingers crossed it looked a hell of a lot worse than it is. my dad and him cant stop laughing at the amount of earth and grass that they have had to brush away though its two bin fulls and counting.

going to go down there now to lend a hand so ill post a final update when i get back.
its going to be easier to justify to my dad now about my new wheels i want plus my new supension ill just keep the remap to myself if they dont find anything.

i still cant belive looking at how the car was that its been sorted so easily i knew my uncle would be of some use one day
