Just ordered a k&n panel filter

Wanted to do this for ages now as im not keen on those crappy 5 quid standard ones!! Anyone notice any difference in performance at all?? Just wanna sort out some cold 'discreet' air feed for the car to make the engine a bit colder as current engine gets quite hot after a fast drive

I've been discussing this with meggerman. I am guessing you have a 172/182. There are 2 standard feeds in the box already, the visible one which goes off to the right and one which runs the length of the airbox and mates up against the side of the headlight. I am not sure how effective this one is.
Meggerman came up with the idea of moulding a port to the left side of the box then running a feed to the left of the grille next to the radiator where there is a free space behind some plastic panelling. Sounds complicated but is actually quite simple.

Got a mk1 ph3 1.2 diet engine im afraid that has given me an idea tho
