Just renewed on the Trophy

When I added the Trophy to my policy last year it hadn't been added to the system, so they based the quote on a 182 Cup with a note to say it was a Trophy. I've just had my renewal with the quote still based on a 182 Cup, so I called and had it changed to a Trophy, this put it up about £25. As the quote was still pretty good I challenged them to beat the other quotes I'd had and told them I'd renew now if they beat it.

I got put through to another department, who typed away and at first said they couldn't, she then refreshed the screen again and it dropped even lower than it had with the quote for the 182 Cup. :D Result, glad I bothered to chase them up now.

You've had the trophy for a year? I thought that they weren't released this time last year

Think he means last year as in 2005,
Must be less than a year ago as he is only just on about renewing his insurance which he swapped over to the Trophy.

I got it June last year, first customer car on the road.

My policy starts March 5th, so I just swapped the car on it last year.

direct line dont recognize anything over 5 years ncb

Most places dont. I have 9 yrs on the NCB, and was told on renewal at the weekend that nothing over 5 makes any other difference.
