K Reg Clio 1.4 Rt Simple Tunes?

afternoon all,
i just aquired a k reg clio rt, in pretty good nick for £300 with a years ticket
its basically a fun runaround project, i love tinkerin, (i used to tweek minis when i was a kid), its the first clio ive had, its fun to drive, its pretty nimble n poky about town, its never gonna do the gumball hehe.. but can anyone give any tips on simple tuning i can make, also any common faults?, the heater matrix is gone i think... apparently that is common?

Faults I had with mine are many but probably due to age rather than because of the car itself.

Over heating due to old raditor.
Mis firing.
Head gasket failure.
Starter motor
alternator
interior fan inoperable
rear drums seizing
leaking sunroof

As for power, I left mine standard. Any extra power it would have fallen to pieces. You can always go for things like induction kit and exhaust.

I just kept mine colour coded, lowered on some nice 15inch alloys.

Traded in after 3 and a half years of ownership back in July 2003 for a Saxo VTS which was the car before my 172. Still think it of fondly for all it was at times a bag of hammers!

Try doing a search as it has come up loads of times. Quite a bit can be done and you can get them over 100bhp with the usual sort of mods (headwork, cams etc).
