Sorry to be cheeky but the link you put up are to REAR brakes?
whats wrong with that?

Sorry mate, but i wasnt aware that the 1.4s came with rear discs? If so i apologise.

Ive got 4 pots and are great.

f**k fancy drilled discs, stick with solids, harsher pads, brake lines and better fluids.

whatever you do, DONT use TarOx race pads, as they are proper race pads and are crap for street use

I uprated my standard disks and pads to tarox discs and EBC green stuff pads. Seems a little better but still not as good as i would like them to be. Think im going to get the 16V caliper, disks and pads with the longer bolts and give them ago!!

true mate, there is NO point whatsoever upgrading the RT setup, to get better brakes buy the 16v caliper, discs, and pads

i had tarox 40 groove discs and even with those braking was still crap, its the caliper its jus p*ss poor

now ive got 16v setup its a lot better

Wouldnt go Renault - well expensive.

Breakers - Calipers, £40 for both sides inc all the bolts etc..

Then new discs/pads from Euro car Parts, £66.

Or failing that get the megane 16v set up that will go straight on and runs 280mm discs.

Greenstuff pads are w*nk and so are red dots i know this because i have had problems with both i find the mintex to be a better pad than all the others.

Dont get the kevlar pads to go with em......see my other post, not a happy bunny :(
Nothing wrong with them when i had them.. didnt notice an improvement (nor did i expect any) but they created less brake dust, lasted longer, and were dirt cheap!
