K-Tec Grille

Having a few problems fitting my new K-Tec grille, the new grille doesnt match up with the one i had to cut at the top theres about a 15mm gap, so am i doing something wrong or is it supposed to be like this?

pmsl. Yep, the cheese grater if a bit of a dodgy fit.

Whs this though because k-tec say it fits like a glove?
