K-Tec Stealth - First Impressions

Car  Black Ph2 172
Got my system fitted yesterday. Sitting lower than I wanted, although this is being remedied today (if anybody could post pics of how stealth their system is so I have an idea as to how high the system can go that would be great :-)).

Certainly makes a sportier sound although it doesn't seem as lod as Vish's which I went out in mid week. I am hoping this will change as the exhaust wears in? There is also a lot of smoke coming out at the moment? The mechanic who fitted it said he hasn't fitted such a good quality aftermartket exhaust for a long time (well done K-Tec).

Hello Andy,

The smoke will not last for very long. When they bend the pipes the inside of the pipe is coated with oil to allow mandrel to move through the pipe freely. This oil burns off over the first few miles.

David.

Thanks David - does this system work well with the panel filter you guys do? What is the difference between this and the ITG filter?

Also, I am curious to view the video of the stealth vs. mild steel stealth - this wasn't working on your site would you be able to send me a link David?

Thank you :-)

i love my k-tec stealth. it sounds even better with a decat!! the only problem with mine is that there are some loose washers in the back box. managed to remove some of them but the others are in the exhast from when it was assembled and cant be removed without a lot of hassle. you can hear them rattling around when the car is idling. strange but true.

Nice,

Was it as stealh as mine?

hahaha not quite that stealth!!!! did you notice a good performance gain? Mine seems to pull better lower down

Yeah I added a de-cat at the same time (the car is running 225 anyway)

But it wasn't half shifting when I got it back :)

Can you get a pic of yours fitted?

If you loosen the rear bracket lie down on a mat almost underneath parellel with the back bumper, use your knee to push up/position back box as high as you can without touching metal shield on boot the floor then just tighten rear bracket with box in desired high position hope this helps its what I did worked fine.
