k-tec turbo

Has anyone got the 16v turbo conversion from the k-tec website? is it even available yet, the website isnt clear.

Just wondering what it does to the 0-60 and top speed. I bet it would shift with that thing on there!

Any ideas what insurance increase would be like? i can imagine its something astronomical.

so fast it gets you there before you left the house, faster than light, just keeps up with novas etc I am sure.

I would call them but im at work and supposed to be really busy so if i get on the phone and start talking about turbos I dont think my boss will be all too happy!

I can make it look like im doing work while posting on here :devilish:

Well i understand K Tec have something in the works, I dont know what though. My local gaff is BB Tuning and their turbo Clios been out on the roads for the last year. Mine was the first high boost car out once they started building them for customers. Its in the paint shop at the moment undergoing a transformation so the bodywork is as mint as the engine. Try BB tuning for the low-down on what theyve got going on. In fact they even have a catalogue especially about the turbo which details everything. Theyll send it to you if you ask.

BTW The turbo is very fast.

they all use the same fastchip turbo conversion i believe but with there own slight tweakages

k-tecs aint finished yet i dont think

lookin at catalogue now, BBPTs one is £5489.60 for low boost 200bhp / 200lbs torque or £7406.03 for high boost (near 300bhp)

I spoke to K-tech about it at Max live, they said they were waiting for some some things to be made...but they said its nearly complete.

They reckon itll cost about 3-4K all in.

Yeah maybe I should have bought a Proton with a nice sensible 3 year warranty. And a new pair of slippers as well. Silly me modding my Clio!
